Theatre for Social Development

Abhina uses 'Drama Therapy' as a tool to achieve an ideological change within society. Through Drama Therapy, we help traumatized and disturbed individuals achieve balance in their lives once again. Thus far we have been very successful in achieving this goal, including in the following workshops:

Assisting the Differently Abled

Abhina works closely with differently abled people in Sri Lanka with the objective of making their lives better, and also helping others understand the diverse needs of differently abled persons, which is the biggest hurdle that these individuals face today.

We also train Teachers to better equip them to educating and care for differently abled children. Through this, we can ensure that these individuals receive education and care in a sensitive manner suited to their specific needs.

We have produced several theatrical productions to help achieve an attitude change towards differently abled people from society in collaboration with various organizations. These productions include:

Improving performing arts

Abhina works towards achieving its goal of making performing arts a practical art. We hope to pass on the knowledge that we have amassed through the years by providing training and coaching in theatre and performing arts to the next generation.

We work closely with budding performance artistes and musicians, and have conducted numerous workshops to empower a new generation of artistes, including:
